Report: Moore and the Celtics 02.23.09 at 4:05 pm ET

WEEI.com has confirmed, through a league source, the Boston Herald‘s report that free agent Mikki Moore is expected to sign with the Boston Celtics once he clears waivers on Tuesday morning. Moore was placed on waivers by the Sacramento Kings last Thursday. According to the Herald, Celtics President Danny Ainge has denied making a formal offer. However their source insisted Moore will pick the Celtics.

    i say the reports are true the celtics are glad to announce the signing of former sacramento free agent mikki moore that’s a good signing for the celtics i don’t know what sports bozo 1 is talking about it’s a good signing for the celtics down the stretch

    Is this really what the Celtics need!?! I know we need height, but can’t we bring in someone with some upside? I’m sure this guy’s height will be an attribute, but if you look at his stats, that’s about all he’s got going for him.

    good signing, hard to get a big with his salt after the trade deadline, outside of possibly Joe Smith, which doesn’t look possible now. Mr. Moore will help, especally with Garnett and Scal, out for a time. One more roster spot open……they still need a scoring guard or small foward…..Marbury ?????

    They don’t need upside. They need someone with size and experience to play 10-12 minutes a game,for the last three months of the season. And that’s what they’ll get with Moore.
