The officials for Game 4 of the NBA finals were announced Thursday morning, and the trio includes a referee Celtics fans won’t be happy to see. Eddie F. Rush, who ejected Kendrick Perkins from the Eastern Conference finals Game 5 on a technical foul that later was rescinded by the league, will be on the floor along with Scott Foster and Greg Willard.

However, according to NBAstuffer.com, Celtics fans shouldn’t be too upset about Rush taking the floor in Boston. The site’s stats indicate that home teams have won nine of the 10 times Rush has officiated in the 2010 postseason. He calls fouls on the road team 55 percent of the time.

Rush officiated two games in the 2008 finals between the Celtics and Lakers: Games 1 and 5. Both were played in Boston, and both resulted in Celtics wins.

Greg Willard and Scott Foster have identical stats that are much more even. Home teams have won 64 percent of their games (both have reffed 11 times), and their foul calls are an almost even split: 51 percent on players on road teams, 49 percent on home teams.

Foster is the referee Tim Donaghy called 134 times in a seven-month stretch during the 2006-07 season, which raised suspicion as that was during the time Donaghy was gambling on games. Foster was not charged with any wrongdoing. He refereed two games in the 2008 NBA finals, Game 1 (a Celtics win) and Game 5 (a C’s road loss).

Avoid the TEchs and we have a chance. When will the media break down what each player has to do defensively only. Celtics motto should be 80 will give us 18. Keep the Lakers to 80 points a game and irregardless of the Celtics score, THEY WILL WIN. Our best game was when KG and Pierce emphasized defense. If the big three score only 30 and the Lakers score 80 we’ll still win cause the Lakers cannot keep us under 84.

Yet another reason why David Stern want the lakers to win this title!!! Bill Kennedy ( Celtic hater ) assigned to officiate game 3 and now Eddi F-ck Rush ( celtic hater and a fan of the lakers ) assigned for game 4. This is a joke , y’all. It couldn’t be more blatant who Stern and his crooks in the league office want to se win the championship – and it’s not the Boston Cletics!!!
I’m hoping our fans will give Eddie F-ck Rush the treatment tonight because if we don’t , you just know that he will find a way to help the lakers.
THE NBA IS THE MOST CORRUPT LEAGUE IN AMERICA!!!!

NBA seems the most vulerable to having the referees sway the outcome of games with Refs who favor one team over another. I would like to see stats on each referee: calls for and calls against the Celtics. I remember many games along the long season where Joey “crooked” Crawford and Eddie”the bum” Rush and “Clueless” Kennedy make call after foul call against the C’s without seemingly any care that they make the game look completely fixed. I think the illegal betting does influence the number of calls the ref’s make (see Donahy). These guys have the same credibility as the WWF referees and are about as clueless in how biased they appear to the public. David Stern can’t fine the fans for talking about the biased ref’s …thank god.
