By

Leading into this weekend’s back-to-back between the Celtics and 76ers, which could have serious Atlantic Division ramifications, we’re debuting Green Street’s #3Tweet: Three Twitter questions (and a money round) with the opposing city’s best NBA bloggers. On Friday, we interviewed Liberty Ballers blogger Michael Levin.

Ellsbury needs some bunting lessons too.  Get Remy out there.

  • adamsman

Scott has played in front of home fans that just don’t care about thier team iguess that is why he went to tampa. To say that all sox fans are vulgar and rude is to say all mlb players juice. It shows a lot about his character when he paints such a broad brush. He seems like such a bitter man, maybe because he has lost wherever he has played or never reached his potential as a player. It is also laughable to hear him say the orioles celebrated like they won the world series when they finished in last place, says a lot about the players and the organization!

  • stumpsr

Apparently Mr Scott doesn’t get a whole lot of noise out of empty seats, which he usually got every night in Baltimore. So he will be used to it in Tampa also.

  • Luke Who?

You’d think he’d enjoy playing some home games in front of fans – even if they are rooting for the opponent – since the Orioles don’t have any of their own.

  • stumpsr

BTW……The Baltimore economy thrives when Sox and Yankees fans are in town. We pay a premium on hotels and tickets (check the numbers) and airfare when we are in town. It’s a fun place on the water with lots of restaraunts and drinking establishments (no cars needed). We are just enjoying ourselves. Boston could be like that if they ever put a new Fenway on the waterfront. A park near South Station would be great.

  • Glennmacdonald

Are the Orioles still in the American league? Have fun dude.

  • TheLegend33

Scott ……your nothing but a journeyman in the making. Can’t wait until your in Fenway this year.

  • CapeAnn

If Scott played for the Red Sox he’d probably bat .300 every year thanks to Fenway.
He’d also be loved by the moonbats in Boston

  • Eduff56

Who cares what a .230 hitting part time Dh thinks, he’s lucky he got a contract…..but I wouldnt be surprised to see him get dusted in Fenway after these typically ignorant comments

  • just another guest

can’t disagree with him regarding some fans; but that type of obtuse behavior can be seen at all levels for all cities and towns. Making a blanket statement to include all Red Sox fans is as infantile and classless as he proclaims Sox fans to be. I’m sure he’d think different were in he in a Sox uniform and saw the real passion behind those who follow the Old Towne Team. Stay down in Florida, where those “fans” come out in droves to watch a game….lol!!!

  • CapeAnn

Red Sox fans in general are in fact rude and not very well liked.

Like the team, they just think their better than everyone else.

I’m sure the rest of baseball was quietly cheering for Tampa to catch them last year.

    And they did.

  • REMY

Maybe if more Oriole fans, Rays too for that matter, would support their team, not so many real baseball fans would be sitting in your seats rooting for the Boston Red Sox.  Maybe it’s just you Luke “the never was” that keeps your fans away.  It’s a great compliment to Red Sox Nation when another player or team hates us.  It means we have their attention and beating us is rare.

  • CapeAnn

It’s when the fans and the Boston press calls the team “The Greatest Ever” that ballplayers in other cities are annoyed.

The “Greatest Team Ever” didn’t live up to it did they?

    • ricky hederson

The interesting thing here is why would Sox fans be cocky anyway? They win 2 titles in 89 years, they haven’t made the playoffs in 2 years , the last time they made it they were swept by the angels. Last year they were the laughing stock of baseball. This team is going nowhere for years to come

  • Steve

This coming from a guy who hit .220 last year and .264 lifetime.  Uh oh – his home runs have gone up each year (except last since he missed over half the season).  Hmmmmmmm . . .

This guy is simply a mediocre player showing why he’s mediocre – he’s more concerned about what drunken fans think than . . . ahem . . . working on his HR numbers.

  • http://twitter.com/THEMUDVILLE9 Sloan West

All the teams have ruthless mean fans…. Get over it..  Just keep rollin over on those two seamers and changes running away out to second.  Have a good year cracka

  • XXX

I agree with Scott.  The way some fans behave is an embarrassment to all Red Sox fans.  Passion is one thing, but we should always be civil and polite.

  • Kdotmdot

Luke, people yell at you because you were exposed as a racist nazi in an espn article a year ago, not because we’re from boston.

  • Graywolf75

Who???  This is news??….so he’s gone from the Orioles, whose stadium is only filled when the Sox or Yankees come to town, to Tampa Bay, whose stadium is only filled when the Sox or Yankees come to town.  He only wishes he could play for the Red Sox.  what a child.

    • Graywolf75

Oh and BTW chump….the vendors and shop owners LOVE Sox fans.  without them, they’d be collecting unemployment since Orioles fans….do they exist?…don’t support them.

  • http://twitter.com/NorbertoPaulino Norberto Paulino™

And Luke Scott is a classy individual… really?? Go hide in your bunker before the government take your guns and stuff.

  • Psyco-one

He’ll get the same treatment in Tampa Bay. What a loo-zah!

  • Keebs

Know nothing about the guy but after watching the video, he looks scrappy as hell & it looks like he plays pretty good man. Hopefully this guy can develop.

    • http://twitter.com/elephunkadelic elephunkadelic

Dude goes full tilt. I love it.

      • Keebs

Same. He looks like he plays smash mouth football. Lots of energy. Something the Pats have been lacking in the secondary since Harrison.

  • kenmax

krafts wife, would have never allowed a classless piece of crap to join a organization like the patriots .

    • Soxfan2072

You know his whole life story? That’s cool

    • Dano S

Then Hate him that should make you feel real good.

    • Rondo’s_giant_Sunglasses

You mean like Corey Dillon or Randy Moss?  Good point.

    • Hoganster

I hate how everyone says that…They said it after we signed Haynesworth, and they said it now.

Yeah, Randy Moss was certainly a classy ideal role model when we got him to…

    • datkev

so you will say Myra don’t believe in second chances and won’t give guidance to a talented man that made some bad decisions and he is trying to get on the right path. This was a very classless remark and you sound like a piece of crap for saying this.

    • Charliecharlie

oh really? what about meriweather? moss? dillon? stop it! you sound like a moron!

    • Ztigr

@Kenmax that’s a nice glass house you live in there dude.

  • jarvisgrislore

Plenty of “supposed” malcontents came to Pats and were outstanding i.e. Cory Dillon…you come here, your taught respect.  Everyone deserves the chance to prove themselves…could be a steal.

  • mikepatriot

even though the league is tightening up on hits in the secondary; it’s time the pats got a little tougher back there, somehow, someway with a minimum of penalties. Hope the guy stays clean for a year or two. After seeing the veterans of this type ; divas and problem children, you don’t expect more than 2 years.

  • Jimmy Freeze

Allright…I have to give BB comeback drafter of the year…

We all wanted him to move up to get the knucklehead Janoris Jenkins with a 2nd pick…Instead he’s able to get the knucklehead Dennard with a 7th pick…+ the Rugby star-Next Stephen Neal type player…

  • Innovator

A nice thing about him,is that he’s a good man-press guy…he’s not the type of corner to let someone MAKE the 7 yarder THEN stick them….He doesn’t want the receiver to make a play at all!!  We need guys like this..

  • Dano S

Anybody that has gone to college usually has some choices that they very much regret. So you take the punishment and learn a lesson from it.My favorite pick of BB the best value in whole draft.
He was out of character which he as a Patriots will prove that he will make the most of the opportunity. The Tackle from Iowa and DT Fortson were extremely good signings.I give BB and staff a A for this draft.

  • jaypop

hey we were all  young and dumb at sometime in life !!!!! after watching video i could already see one thing that he does that i have’nt seen all year from the guys we got, that is run with the reciever and look back at ball at same time !!!!!  that is a lost art,and should alleviate a lot of pi calls.  db’s never look back anymore and constantly burned, especialy in the end zone corner, when they know it is coming…….  burn my arse

  • Cliffstalker

Wow this kid is early round talent. Hopefully he can buy into the pats ways. If he does and Dowling can ever stay on the field we might have a defense finally

  • Mool

but can he knock a football off the top of a helmet?

  • Kevincentazzo

The Patriots will give this guy a chance. They will mold him, and teach him the value of being a piece of the machine instead of being a piece of crap.  If he doesn’t integrate with their way, he will be discarded, but he will have a chance.  He does need to learn how to catch though!

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1414549334 Chris Synan

On NFL.com, Alfonzo Dennard grade was higher than both Jones and Hightower….I know Bill can straighten out this kid, if anyone can, this kind of reminds me when Bradshaw was drafted by the Giants

  • TuukkaFan123

    Note the picture is Celtics

  • kenmax

from what i have read about my earlier comment, who cares if he beats up cops, rape girls at college , just as long as he plays well.you guys don’t have a f@@king clue. the way these guys are being allowed to do as they please, and i’m sure he’ll get off with a slap on the wrist, your cool with it. look at the caliber of criminals that are being allowed to play professional sports.nice thing though. if all of you slap a cop you want be around to watch this guy play.so keep on supporting criminals.

  • LT

BB said he reasearched heavily this hitting-the-cop accusation and other things. No one wants a bad apple. Plus it wasn’t proven he hit the cop – it could mean anything, but it doesnt sound good that’s for sure. If BB gives him a chance I can – the truth will come out.

Bashing kenmax cuz he is obviously tired of players getting away with crimes cuz they are ball players isnt classy just like you say he is not classy for ‘not giving a man a second chance’ for ‘bad decisions’ ( i guess that’s what they call crimes nowadays just like rape is now called sexual assault so it doesnt sound as bad.) You can disagree with someone but calling him a piece of crap is almost as bad as using crappy English – double negatives sound so stupid.

  • george scott

A 20 million a year bunter, Wow you just don’t get much for 20 million a year

  • Bhdyer20

Oh yippee the Orioles organization is far superior because they won three championships the last in 1983.  Right that is way way better.  So going with your argument over the last thirty years the Red Sox have more titles than the Orioles.  Aren’t you the same idiot that keep telling Sox/Boston fans to let go of the past ten years and what counts is what happens now.  Last I checked Scott has played his whole career for teams with dreadful losing records.  You think he gets the last laugh based on that?

  • CapeAnn

And that Red Sox last year was the most entertaining sports moment in a long time..

“The Greatest Team Ever” is what the Boston press claimed.

    I’m still laughing

  • Moreoofu04

Same here!!!!  Although I did get into a discussion with some Angel fans in 2007 at Angel Stadium after an Angel sweep of a 3 game series.  They were telling me it was their year and I first reminded them that Papi was not playing and they need to prove they can beat the Red Sox in the playoffs before they can talk.  Well, the rest is history as the Sox swept the Angels in the 2007 playoffs.  I wish I had gotten some phone numbers but I bet they remembered our conversation at the right time.

  • Anon

um, their is no such thing as a full grown man professional athlete. All athletes are children, no matter how many years they have been alive.

  • Anon

ok, how many people have died at red sox games? Oh wait, none? Ok please stop talking out of your rear. You just prove you are clueless, probably have never been to a red sox game.

  • mascmen7

Conor. Unfortunately for you and our nation Odumba was born in Mombasa, Kenya, never attended Columbia Univ but 1981-83 attended Patrice Lumumba Univ in Moscow where the Russian Academy of Sciences boasted in 1992 that they had trained Obummer to be a communist and atheist and now our nation is on the ropes due to his wild spending. Luke Scott is a Patriot unlike most Boston fans who have destroyed our nation by voting for the lying imposter president and Barney Frank who is responsible for our current housing crisis. Thanks Massachusetts. You sure know how to ruin everything.
