Marlon Wayans on Kevin Garnett vs. Carmelo Anthony 01.10.13 at 7:54 am ET
By

I knew Wayans brothers movies were bad, but this bad? Maybe supposed Knicks fan Marlon Wayans should have taken a cue from Kevin Garnett after Wednesday night’s Celtics game and responded to any questions from TMZ about Carmelo Anthony by saying, “Y’all have a good night, OK?”

    Schill the thrill

  • novak

Curt, i truly believe that without you, 2004 doesnt happen….as a pitcher, you were a gamer, big time…..thank you for bringing back a championship that i never thought i’d see in my lifetime

  • Dachsies2mom

I hate all this negativity.  Personally I LOVE Schill and the contributions he made to my beloved Sox.  If more people spoke up and were “opinionated” whether you agree with their opinions on not, the US would be a better place.  I’m sorry Curt chose not to be at Fenway today.  I think (I hope) it is a decision he will regret.  But he has a right to set his own priorities without criticism.  Thanks for the memories Schill and please don’t ever shut up!

I’m not angry with CS, and have no issue with his being upset at the Red Sox ownership/management group. And it doesn’t bother me when he comments on everything under the sun. I actually like it. I’m not in agreement with his politics mostly, but i separate that from his being a ball player. Plus, who cares. I have plent of friends that i dont agree with on politics.

However, his appearance would be for the fans, not for management. If he cared so much about the fans and his teammates, he would make the simple gesture. He could even say, “Look, I’m not pleased with what happened with Tito, but the fans and the people I played with deserve better.”

I know you’d be there if you could. You are more than a little opinionated, and I OFTEN find myself in staunch opposition to your opinions. But, unlike so many other people these days, I have the general common sense  and simple human decency not to let that get in the way of my opinion of you as a person or cause me to lose respect.  If everyone thought the same way the world would be a boring place. I know you’ll be there in spirit!  Good luck with your ventures.

A fine, decent, and mature sentiment Chris.  You and a few other posters in here are slowly restoring my faith in the humanity of Boston Sports fans.  Sadly, the kind of fans that crap all over a man for simply having an opinion different than their own while ignoring the legendary things he’s done for the team they love is just mindblowing to me.  Those kinds of fans do not make Boston sports fans look gracious, or smart.  Those kinds of fans simply make Boston look bad, and make Boston look like a place where a lot of players probably wouldn’t want to play.  I know of no other city in America where when the fans suddenly discover one of their own sports star’s political persuation they go from adoring the man, to despising him, and publicly trashing him (and his family) overnight.

Yeah, and I’m sending a message to Schilling. Can he see it?

  • mmaynard119

For once, Schilling did something gracious and self-sacrificing. Given him credit for that.

He has plenty of time for ESPN.

I love you and followed your entire carreer from the minors through all the teams for which you played. It broke my heart when the Sox traded you to Baltimore. I had visions of you and Clemons as the perfect 1-2 starters, and they would have won before 2004.  You sould have been there, no mater what you think of current circumstances.

  • Ralstun

you are so full of it..money hungry and played for the money..don’t see any loyalty and the way you screwed RI..the bloody sock..maybe you got more money for that too..you really didn’t pitch that much anyway..I always thought  you were a lousy player and person and very phony

  • Izzybob

You do realize that your comment is an incomplete sentence and contains redundant punctuation?

  • qtrback12

Dude, please…….I don’t think anyone “hates” your boy shill, but for the love of god his opinions are just to “sell” himself just like that awful D & C radio show, controversy sells …..Did he also forget “what happens in the club house stays in the club house”.  I really think it comes down to class brother.

  • qtrback12

    Remember the “red” sock?

  • BenCartwright33

Who do you support, loser? That ineligible, America despising, job killing joker that’s in there now?

  • Mjb1967

until Miller can get his BB’s down below 4 per 9, he’s useless to the big club….I for one hope he can turn it around, because I believe he has top-tier stuff.. Him succeeding on a big league level would be a heck of a good “feel good” story..one we desperately need.
