Rajon Rondo

The Celtics are marching through the rest of the 2012-13 season without Rajon Rondo, with the point guard lost for the season due to a torn ACL in his right knee.

Sean Grande and Cedric Maxwell gave their opinion on the latest ‘OT with Grande and Max Podcast.’

Doc Rivers offered his take.

So, what do you think?

What should the Celtics do now?

I don’t think anything that they get for Pierce is going to suddenly kick-start the rebuilding process. It will likely just be a salary dump for a decent player or two.  I think at this point they should just play out season and let Pierce retire a Celtic. If they can pick up a decent point guard then they might win a round of the playoffs. Rondo or no Rondo they weren’t going to win the title. If Pierce wants to go then I’m okay with it but I think he has earned the right to stay a career Celtic if that is what he wants. I know it is a business and trades happen but unless they find someone worth keeping long term, what is the use.
