Shavlik Randolph

As they did with Chinese Basketball Association imports Terrence Williams and D.J. White before him, the Celtics signed Shavlik Randolph for the remainder of the season. The deal includes an option for next season.

Randolph has appeared in three games for the C’s this season, averaging 3.3 points and 4.3 rebounds in 12.0 minutes per game. He posted highs of six points, eight rebounds and two steals against Charlotte on March 16.

Randolph played the maximum of two 10-day contracts since March 1, so the team had to make a decision about his future on Thursday. Barring an outright cut, the Celtics roster is set at 15 for the remainder of the season.

Hopefully, Josh will take a look at the offensive play calling in the first 7 games. Especially, at the end of the games. This offense has not run out the clock at the end of a close game since last year. Better play calling and execution by the offense on their final drives would have eaten up enough clock to win a superbowl, and be 8-0 this year. As bad as the defense has been, the offense is more than able to close out those games the way they did in 2004 with Corey Dillon and even early last year with BJGE. Have to get those first downs at the end of games!

Ahhh let me think what areas do the pats need to improve? Maybe not being the worst in NFL history at giving up passes over thirty yards. Did the coaching staff give these quotes with a straight face?
